Heavy rain hits El Salvador

El Salvador has experimented heavy rains for several days. Therefore, a status of emergency  was declared by the government.
El Salvador is the most affected country from the Central America region with more killed people reported; a cause of the raining phenomenon that it has been traversed in the last seven days.  The large amounts of rain are causing damage: washed out bridges, landslides, flooding and river overflows. Moreover, thousands of people have being taking away from home to be sheltered in schools until the rain stops. Therefore, there is an urge of international cooperation to send food, healthcare, and financial resources to support Salvadorian families.

El Salvador was hit hardest by the low pressure system that produced the rain. According to the government, 32 people have been killed in the country, two are missing and 25 were injured. Nearly 35,000 people were evacuated and were housed in 267 shelters. Schools in the entire country were closed, and officials warned residents to remain cautious.
This phenomenon is of great magnitude. The rain will continue for at least two more days; thus, the risk for mudslides and flooding will continue.

Globalization: Do Business, Think Global

Globalization is changing the way people do business around the world. Therefore, people have to take advantages of the opportunities that globalization brings; such as, technologies and new ways of communications. Indeed, globalization brings an integration of markets, nations, states and technologies in a way that is enabling each of us, corporations and nation-states to reach around the world farther, faster, deeper and cheaper than before, and in a way that is enabling the world to reach into each of us, corporations and nations-states farther, faster, deeper, cheaper than ever before.”
